Our story…
For my 32nd birthday, I am raising money for the Humane Society in honor of my dearly departed dog Rigby, who died in May 2024. Shortly after his death, River Dog Inn, the boarding place we sent him to for his entire life, made a donation to the Humane Society in his honor, which moved me and my husband greatly.
Three months after Rigby passed, when we were looking for a new dog to add to our family, we adopted a sweet boy named Kenneth from the Humane Society. I consider this fundraiser a continuation of the love that River Dog Inn showed to us and Rigby, and an act of gratitude for the Humane Society who cared for Kenneth, who I am so very grateful for, before he came into my life.
Dogs are a salve in a dark world, and a beacon of love and companionship. Please consider donating to help the Humane Society continue caring for these beautiful friends.
